OXFORD, Ohio -- The Miami University Athletic Department has entered into a partnership with LimeGreen Entertainment Group to provide creative services and media planning for football and basketball. LimeGreen will work with Miami to provide branding and ticketing strategies to bolster ticket sales.
The partnership is especially significant as Miami enters into the 2009 football season with excitement about new head football coach Michael Haywood and the opening football game versus Kentucky at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.
"Opening the 2009 season (versus Kentucky) in Cincinnati, right on the door step of over 40,000 alumni, presents a great opportunity to position a creative yet versatile campaign theme to enhance an already tradition-rich Miami image and brand," says Anthony J. Azama, Miami's Director of Marketing. "We are excited for LimeGreen Entertainment Group to bring a broad range of expertise to our department."
The Chicago-based agency is headed by founder and managing partner Michon Ellis, a former Miami football player and 1995 graduate.
"LimeGreen is excited to team up with Miami University," said Ellis. "These prestigious sports programs have been a source of pride and inspiration to students, alum and local residents for decades. Our goal is to shine a spotlight, not only on those past successes, but also on the opportunities that this year's teams will bring."
Headquartered in Chicago, LimeGreen Entertainment Group is an award-winning multi-media and marketing communications agency. They have served numerous sports organizations and blue chip corporations including the Chicago Cubs, the University of Chicago and the McDonald's Corporation.
