OXFORD, Ohio-The Miami Sports Network (MSN) kicks off its seventh season with its one-hour radio coaches' show, Miami "HawkTawk," at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21. The show airs throughout the fall and winter sports seasons and is hosted at its homebase the Texas Roadhouse restaurant at 1366 Main Street in Hamilton, Ohio.
Miami head football coach Terry Hoeppner will be a regular guest during the gridiron season, analyzing upcoming contests and dissecting the most recent game. In the winter, men's basketball coach Charlie Coles, women's basketball coach Maria Fantanarosa and ice hockey coach Enrico Blasi will be frequent guests.
MSN host Steve Baker also will conduct interviews with other Miami coaches during each week's show. Joining Hoeppner and Baker on Thursday's first broadcast is Miami University Director of Athletics Brad Bates. Assisting Baker on a regular basis are MSN regulars Tim Bray and Dave Allen.
The show airs live on WMOH-AM (1450), WCKY-AM (1360) and WMUB-FM (88.5) and on the internet at www.MURedHawks.com. For fans in Cleveland, check your local listings on WTAJ-AM 1560 for delayed broadcasts.
Periodically, the show will move to other locations so check out Miami's athletics web site at www.MURedHawks.com to see the latest schedule and guest appearances.
Miami's first regular-season football broadcast begins at 11 a.m. EDT on Saturday, Aug. 30 when the RedHawks visit Big Ten power Iowa.
