OXFORD, OH - The Ohio Department of Transportation has told Miami University that given the current status of their construction project on State Route 27, which has the road detoured 1.25 miles north of State Route 130, the work to replace a culvert should be completed and the road re-opened by 10 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) morning.
Having the roads open by 10 a.m. should allow fans traveling to Oxford for the 2 p.m. Miami vs. Akron football game to avoid traffic problems. O-DOT also informed Miami that it would also have flaggers at the site if there is a delay in re-opening the road, redirecting fans through the detour.
Fans wishing to avoid the road work altogether can work around the construction by using the detour set up by the Ohio Department of Transportation:
Northbound State Route 27 to Stillwell-Beckett Rd.
East on Stillwell-Beckett Rd. to State Route 177
West on State Route 177 to State Route 73
West on State Route 73 to Oxford
