Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement
Lindsay Sparks is in her first year as the Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement.
Sparks comes to Miami after having spent the last five years at the University of South Dakota, where she held two different positions. Most recently, she served as the Director of Transitions and Student Programming for the Student Services office. There, Sparks collaborated with a number of departments across campus with the mission of providing activities and experiences for students as they transition into college. This involved articulating and implementing a vision and annual goals for the transitions and programming areas within Student Services that create intentional co-circular programming opportunities for students that aid in retention.
During this time period, Sparks was also a member of the USD Fan Participation Committee, a group tasked with finding engaging ways to encourage increased student attendance at USD events, particularly athletics.
Prior to that, Sparks was the Assistant Director of Student Life. In this position, Sparks worked with several dormitory resident assistants, focusing on programming, quad atmosphere and residents’ well-being.
Sparks earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Indiana in 2006. In 2010, she received her master’s degree in psychology from Northern Michigan.
