Was third on the team in scoring with 22 points on 12 goals and 10 assists ... made his collegiate debut at St. Cloud State on Oct. 15 (5-4 Miami win) ... scored his first collegiate goal in the next game to help Miami to its 3-2 win over St. Cloud State (Oct. 16) ... tallied his first multiple-point game with a goal and two assists vs. Michigan State (Nov. 19) ... his five points on two goals and three assists for the weekend helped lead the RedHawks to a sweep of the then-No. 3 Spartans (3-2, 3-0) ... posted his first multiple-goal game with two goals and an assist in Miamis 5-0 shutout of Ohio State (Dec. 3) ... scored the only Miami goal in a 3-1 loss to Nebraska-Omaha (Feb. 18), then returned in the next game with a goal and an assist to help Miami to a 6-3 victory (Feb. 20) ... led freshmen in scoring ... served only seven penalties for 14 minutes in his 32 games ... was second on the team in power-play goals with five and second with game-winning goals at two. Played for the Cleveland Junior Barons of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) ... tied for eighth in the league in scoring with 62 points in 53 games for the Barons ... his 41 assists last year ranked fifth in the league ... a member of the 1998-99 NAHL All-Star team ... tallied a total of 93 points in two seasons as Baron ... was a member of the 1997 national runner-up Little Caesars Midget team.
