NORFOLK, Va. – The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America released its individual and team Scholar All-America Awards on Wednesday.
Both the Miami men’s and women’s programs were recognized in the team rankings while a combined seven individuals from the teams earned Scholar All-America Honorable Mention. The RedHawk women posted a GPA of 3.43 while the men notched a 3.12 mark during the spring semester.
Additionally, Lucas Brock, Elise Campbell, Brittany Dudzinski, Izzy Herb, Iago Moussalem do Amaral, Holly Schuster and John Strauss all earned Scholar All-America Honorable Mention as they all posted GPAs of 3.50 or higher during the spring semester or wrapped up the academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
“I am very proud of these student-athletes who have been able to balance their athletic success with the academic demands to become Academic All-Americans,” head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron said. “The time they spend to be excellent at both lends itself well to our philosophy to Graduate Champions. I appreciate their hard work and the attention to detail to ensure a balanced student-athlete experience by being competitive students along with competitive athletes.”
Nearly 1,000 (997) swimmers and divers from all collegiate divisions earned the academic accolade while 720 programs earned recognition for the team award. Miami’s individual Scholar All-America Honorable Mention recipients are listed below.
