OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University swimming and diving head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron announced the team’s 2017-18 schedule on Thursday. The RedHawks swim in 11 meets prior to the Mid-American Conference Championships and the NCAA Championships – six at home, five on the road.
Prior to the start of the regular season, Miami holds its Red & White meet (Sept. 30). The RedHawks begin their season with a home meet against Purdue (Oct. 13). The Red and White women compete by themselves at Akron (Oct. 28) and home against Bowling Green (Nov. 4). Afterwards, the RedHawks combine to head to Michigan State (Nov. 11) before hosting the Miami Invitational (Nov. 30-Dec. 2).
After winter break, the RedHawks host rival Cincinnati (Jan. 12). After the Miami women travel to Buffalo (Jan. 20), the entire Red and White squad closes out the home portion of the regular season against Eastern Michigan (Jan. 27) and Xavier (Feb. 3), with the Xavier meet serving as senior day. The regular season concludes with the Miami men traveling to Ball State (Feb. 10) while the women and remaining men finish the regular season with an invitational at Ohio State (Feb. 10-11).
The Miami men host the Mid-American Conference Championships (Feb. 28-March 3). The women’s MAC Championships are the week prior (Feb. 21-24) at Ohio.
