OXFORD, Ohio – Former Miami University track & field standout Amelia Strickler put together a big performance overseas over the weekend.
Over at the British Championships, won the shot put by heaving a throw of 56-6 and picking up her first win of the 2018 season. This win comes after enduring a difficult build up to the Commonwealth Games where she was battling an injury prior to that meet in April.
Strickler excelled for the Red & White in her time in Oxford, qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Championships twice and the NCAA Outdoor Championships once in the shot put. She finished as high as 10th nationally, which came at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships as she concluded her career as a three-time Second-Team All-American.
