Started 49 of the 52 games he played... missed eight games after dislocating a shoulder during the spring trip... batted .254 with 17 runs batted in... had seven doubles and two triples (tied for the team lead) for a .314 slugging percentage... walked 22 times (second-most on the team) and was hit six times for a .350 on-base percentage... ranked second in the country in stolen bases overall (39) and per game (0.75)... was caught only nine times, a success rate of 81.3 percent... stole multiple bases on 12 occasions, including a season-best four vs. Xavier on April 13... swiped second and third back-to-back four times and stole home vs. Yale on March 7.
2010 SUMMER LEAGUE
Played for the Grand Lake Mariners in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League... played in 25 games, starting 21... led the team with a .345 batting average... drove in three runs... had six extra-base hits (five doubles, one triple)... stole 28 bases, while getting caught only three times... had a slugging percentage of .425, while registering a .452 on-base percentage.
Played in 49 games, starting 24... batted .258 with no home runs and 12 RBIs... three of his 29 hits went for extra bases... was successful on 11 of 14 stolen-base attempts, ranking third on the team... walked 17 times and was hit once... had a .374 on-base percentage... drove in his first career run against Michigan State (2/21)... set a pair of career highs against Xavier -- three hits and three RBIs... fielded .975 (two errors in 80 chances).
2009 SUMMER LEAGUE
Batted a team-best .576 with 47 stolen bases as a team captain for the Ospreys in the IMG Academies Wood Bat League, helping his team to a second-place finish with a 14-10 record.
Played in 21 games in his first year as a RedHawk, making four starts, including his first-career start March 8 vs. Bucknell as an outfielder ... also saw time as a designated hitter, second baseman and pinch hitter ... saw first action Feb. 22 at the College of Charleston ... went 4-for-17 (all singles) for a .235 average, recording all four hits in a three-game stretch from May 9-May 14 ... smacked first hit May 9 vs. Ohio and registered his first multi-hit game May 14 at Kent State with a pair of singles ... scored seven runs, including his first run March 4 at Cincinnati as a pinch runner ... earned three walks with six strikeouts ... was 2-for-3 on stolen bases, nabbing his first base March 14 vs. Army ... had an on-base percentage of .350 ... committed just one error in 13 chances.
A four-time first-team all-conference selection and the 2008 Geauga County Player of the Year ... as a freshman and senior, part of a Hawken School Hawks team that was conference and sectional champions ... hit over .400 during all four years, stole 138 career bases, including a single-season high of 47 ... No. 30 ranked player in Ohio by The Buckeye Scout.
