2011
A first-team All-MAC selection... started 16 games for the RedHawks, including opening day... was 6-4 with a 2.22 ERA... allowed 89 hits and 32 runs (25 earned) over 101.1 innings pitched... struck out 71 batters, second-highest mark on the team... walked only 20... held opponents to a .238 batting average... pitched at least five innings in all but three of his starts (one was suspended by rain, while one was cut short due to arm stiffness)... had two complete games (April 29 vs. Bowling Green and May 13 vs. Buffalo).... threw one shutout, while combining on two others... struck out a career-best 10 vs. the Bulls... fanned nine againt Central Michigan on March 25)... had five strikeouts or more on eight occasions... topped the 100-pitch mark five times.

2010 SUMMER LEAGUE
Played for the Nashville Outlaws in the Prospect League... was 1.0 with a 2.03 ERA... struck out eight while walking three... pitched 7.0 innings in the home opener, allowing just two runs... the second was to the lead-off hitter in the eighth and ended a string of 20 straight batters retired.

2010
A weekend starter most of the year... Went 5-6 on the season... recorded a 5.08 ERA... started 12 of his 16 appearances... tossed 72.2 innings, second-most of the team... struck out 48 batters, while walking just 18... had a season-high eight Ks in an 8-1 victory over Ohio (5/20)... threw both of Miami's complete games --- vs. Northern Kentucky (3/17) and Ohio (5/20)... his first career win came against the Norsemen.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years of baseball at Farragut High School under coach Tommy Pharr ... sophomore year, hit .340 with a pair of homers and went 6-2 as a pitcher ... as a junior in 2008, batted .469 with 18 doubles and eight home runs ...also went 6-0 as a pitcher as a junior ... during senior campaign (2009), hit .410 with 12 round-trippers and 55 RBI ... on the mound, went 6-1 with a 1.54 ERA ... helped the Admirals to three Tennessee Division I (AAA) state championships (as a freshman, junior and senior) ... as a freshman helped team finish 30-15, as a junior team went 43-3 and finished 10th in the country according to Baseball America, and in senior year led Admirals to a 39-5 mark and a third state title in four years, as the team finished with a No. 9 ranking nationally by Baseball America and USA Today ... was named all-district final three years of high school and first-team all-region as a junior and senior ... as a junior in 2008, earned first-team all-state honors by the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association.
