OXFORD, Miss. -- A day after upsetting 16th-ranked Ole Miss, Miami fell behind 6-0 after two innings and never recovered in an 11-1 loss to the Rebels Saturday afternoon at Swayze Field. Matt Honchel registered two of the RedHawks' eight hits in the contest.

After Ole Miss scored two in the eighth, the RedHawks tried to rally. Brian Beaver led off with a pinch-hit single. An error put two runners on before a groundout advanced them to second and third. Brenner followed with a single up the middle to make the final 11-3.
The three-game series will be decided tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. CT with the rubber match.
