Less than three months ago the RedHawks went to-to-toe with a powerhouse from the Southeastern Conference in Mississippi State at the St. Petersburg Bowl. Despite the one-point loss, expectations for the 2017 Miami University football team could not be higher as they began spring practice this afternoon.
Miami returns 18 starters and 54 letterwinners from last season's team that won a share of the Mid-American Conference East Division title with the help of six straight wins to close out the regular season after beginning the year with losses in the first six contests.
Following Sunday afternoon's practice inside the Dauch Indoor Sports Center, head coach Chuck Martin talked about those expectations and what he hopes to get out of the next 15 practices. The entire interview can be found above.
Season tickets are on sale now. For six home games, fans can purchase chairback seating for $125. Other prices include $105 (general public/bench) and $95 (faculty/staff/band parent). Miami is offering a Family Plan, which includes four season tickets (2 adults, 2 children) for $220, located on the East side of Yager Stadium. Tickets can be purchased HERE or by calling (513) 529-4295. A $5 handling fee is not included in the above pricing.
Miami football concludes spring practice on Saturday, April 22 in the Spring Showcase. The event will begin at 1 p.m. inside Yager Stadium.
