COLUMBUS, Ohio – Miami University senior golfer Patrick Flavin concluded play at the NCAA Columbus Regional on Wednesday. He shot his best round of the tournament, finishing with a three-over par 74. Overall, Flavin tied for 60th at 20-over par. Michigan’s Kyle Mueller earned the individual bid to the NCAA Tournament, winning the regional at five-under par.
Flavin overcame a slow start with birdies at eight and 14. He also had 12 pars during the round.
Flavin ends his Miami career as one of the most honored golfers in program history. He set a school record with eight tournament victories, four of which were this season. A four-time First-Team All-Mid-American Conference selection, Flavin’s 72.99 career strokes per round average ranks tops amongst all Miami golfers.
