Flavin Finishes Tied for 49th at NCAA Regional

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Junior Patrick Flavin completed his run in the 2017 NCAA West Lafayette Regional with a final round two-over par 74 on Wednesday. Overall he finished tied for 49th at 13-over par. He moved up another 14 spots in the standings throughout the day.
The individual winners of the West Lafayette Regional were Andrej Bevins of New Mexico and Nick Hardy of Illinois at three-under par. Receiving the one individual spot to the NCAA Championship that goes to the top finisher who was not among the five advancing teams was Trent Wallace of Illinois State, who finished at one-over par.
Flavin finished the 2016-17 season with one tournament win (Mountaineer Intercollegiate) and three top-10 finishes. His scoring average of 73.19 ranks as the eighth best single-season in school history.
