Steve "Coach" Cady Arena Improvements

After gathering your feedback through our fan surveys, the Miami University Intercollegiate Athletics department has announced new and improved changes to upgrade the fan experience at Steve `Coach' Cady Arena for the 2016-17 season. Fans can expect to see a renewed emphasis on customer service, updated ticket purchasing procedures, more variety and improved quality of concessions, improvements to in-game entertainment elements and much more.

These enhancements are expected to be in place starting with the Miami hockey team's Oct. 1 exhibition against Waterloo. Single game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here or calling the Miami Athletic Ticket Office at (513) 529-4295. Details on the improvements fans can expect are below.

Ticket Enhancements
• Online Purchasing - Launched back in April, Miami's partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement will help improve the purchasing experience for all RedHawk fans. New features include: online seat selection map, improved mobile ticket delivery and a more reliable online ticketing system.
• New Ticket Options - This season, fans can purchase Friday and Saturday half season packages, allowing fans to purchase ticket packages that better fit their schedules.
• RedHawk Rewards - Season ticket holders can get rewarded for using tickets with unique fan experiences. Fans who are unable to use tickets can also get rewarded for returning unused tickets, like concessions and merchandise credit.

Better Sound in Goggin
• New Speakers - Subwoofers have been installed at Steve `Coach' Cady Arena to increase clarity of the speaker system and allow fans to better enjoy the game atmosphere.

• More Diverse Options - The concessions stand is incorporating healthier options to the menu. Miami is also currently in the process of modifying its food options to provide fans more variety and improve the quality of food at the rink.

Dedication to Improved Customer Service
• Usher Training - Miami has added greeters in the lobby of the arena to answer any questions a fan may have. Another addition this year are express lanes, where fans with tickets and no bags can enter the arena more quickly.
• Increased Lobby Signage - More signs will be placed throughout the arena to better communicate where to go on gameday.
• Fan Information Booth on Concourse - Additional assistance will be provided to fans at the information booth, where fans can gain additional information from Miami representatives as well as purchase team apparel.

Improved Ticket Pick Up for Students
• More Locations & Times - Students can now pick up at Armstrong. Hours to pick up at Goggin have been extended. Code Red members get exclusive access to pick up on Monday of game week.
• Student Guest Policy - Students can purchase a standing room only ticket for a guest. Ten minutes before puck drop the guest can take any open seat in the student section.
• Student Group Policy - Student groups that want to bring out parents or alumni to a game can do so this year and all sit together in Section 3. Students will be free and their guests will have access to purchase group rate tickets for the game.

Broadcasting/streaming capabilities
• Investment in Fiber-optics (NCHC.tv) - Upgrades to the broadcasting infrastructure at Steve `Coach' Cady Arena will provide a better viewing experience for fans who are unable to make it to the rink on gameday.
