OXFORD, Ohio - Closing out its regular season, the Miami University men's swimming and diving team (3-6; 3-0 MAC) travels to face the Eastern Michigan Eagles Saturday at 2 p.m. Led by the defending Mid-American Conference swimmer of the week Paul Ricard, Miami is seeking to break Eastern Michigan streak of 46 consecutive conference dual meets.

Both Miami and Eastern Michigan enter the meet with unblemished 3-0 conference dual meet records, but the Eagles boast the better overall mark, coming into the meet at 7-1 overall. As the conference's top two swimming programs, Miami is the defending conference champion, but Eastern Michigan had won six straight until Miami broke its streak of titles last season.

Ricard was named the MAC Swimmer of the Week last week after notching four victories in non-conference dual meets at Kenyon College and Cleveland State In a two-point loss at Kenyon, Ricard placed first in the 200 butterfly (1:52.21) and 500 freestyle (4:39.02), and he followed by posting two of Miami's three individual wins at Cleveland State by sweeping the distance freestyle events. Against the Vikings, Ricard clocked in with a first-place time of 9:22.01 in the 1,000 freestyle and added a top finish in the 500 freestyle (4:33.97).

After its meet with Eastern Michigan, Miami will travel to Buffalo for the MAC Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 22-24.
