BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - RedHawks recorded nine top-three finishes in the 16 events contested at the Hoosier Hills Invitational on Friday, led by senior David Mitchell (Woodridge, Ill./Downers Grove South) winning the 3000 meters and sophomore Tom Herrmann (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) winning the high jump.
Mitchell led a trio of RedHawks across the finish line, winning the race in 8:23.23, ahead of senior Chris Swisher (Milan, Ind./Milan) (8:29.74) and junior Dan Huling (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community) (8:37.55). Herrmann leapt 6-6 in the high jump, two inches higher than junior Ceith Creekmur (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley), who tied for second.

In the field events, senior Rich Collins (Marion, Ohio/Ridgedale) finished second in the pole vault with a leap of 14-5 1/4.
