RedHawks Compete at Mid-American Conference Championships Thursday-Saturday at Ohio: Two RedHawks seek to defend the individual titles they won at the 2004 Mid-American Conference Championships as senior Erik Reynolds and sophomore Jake Dunkleberger look for back-to-back high jump and hammer throw conference championships, respectively, this Thursday through Saturday at Ohio University. As a team, the Red and White finished fourth at last year's meet held at Miami's George Rider Track.

RedHawks Honored Individually by MAC: Junior Dan Huling was honored April 27 with the Mid-American Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week award for scoring 12 points at the Southern Ohio Cup, winning the 5000 meters and finishing second in the 1500. He was the second Miamian selected for the award, following junior Ceith Creekmur, who won the decathlon at Florida State in March. Senior Chris Swisher was selected as the MAC's Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Week across all sports on Mar. 29 for his NCAA Regional-qualifying performance in the 1500 at UC Irvine.

Four RedHawks Ticketed for NCAA Mideast Regional: So far in 2005, four RedHawks have earned the chance to compete at the NCAA Mideast Regional at Indiana University in May. Sophomore Jake Dunkleberger has passed the hammer standard on six out of seven occasions this year, and junior Dan Huling qualified for the steeplechase event at UC Irvine in March where senior Chris Swisher earned his 1500 ticket as well. Erik Reynolds met the high jump qualifying standard of 6-10 3/4 at the Southern Ohio Cup.
