OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University softball team begins the week with a non-conference doubleheader against Wright State on Tuesday. First pitch is at 5 p.m.
The RedHawks hold a 17-19 record overall and a 6-8 record in conference games. Last week, Miami split a mid-week doubleheader at Bowling Green before winning the series against Kent State two games to one. Freshman catcher Lizzie Bollinger hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning in game two to even the series. Miami went on to take game three.
Wright State holds a 14-21 record this season, 8-5 in conference play. Last weekend, Wright State had a marathon doubleheader of its own, sweeping Oakland with both games going into extra innings. Senior outfielder Honnah Susor leads Wright State in batting average (.314), runs (22), hits (33), slugging percentage (.419), hit-by-pitches (7), on-base percentage (.433) and stolen bases (23).
