Senior in Third, Junior in Ninth after Short Program at U.S. National Championships

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Miami University senior and junior synchronized skating teams finished out the first day of competition at the U.S National Championships on Friday evening. After performing their short program, the senior team sits in third while the junior team is in ninth.

The senior squad posted a score of 59.65 while the junior team put up a mark of 41.19. The Haydenettes topped the division with a score of 70.19 and the Crystallettes are holding down second place after earning a 67.11. The full order of finish for the short program can be found below.

The senior and junior teams will skate their second and final performances of the weekend on Saturday evening with their respective long programs. The junior team will skate at 7:40 p.m. ET and the senior team will go at 8:28 p.m. ET. Also in action tomorrow is the collegiate team, who is looking for its 14th-straight title at the event. They will perform at approximately 4:53 p.m. ET.
