OXFORD, Ohio –
After months of training and a strong display of its programs last weekend, Miami’s synchronized skating teams begin competition at the Diamond Classic on Saturday.

The RedHawks senior and collegiate teams are both in action this weekend and the competition starts in the morning with the senior team’s short program, “Phantom of the Opera” by Lindsey Stirling, at 9:45 a.m. Miami’s collegiate team takes the ice for its Tina Turner medley free skate at 11:39 a.m.

Miami’s last performance of the day sees the senior team return to the ice for its free skate, a Showgirls theme by various artists, at 12:52 p.m.

The Diamond Classic is the first of two competitions this month for the RedHawks as they also compete in the Anaheim Ice Synchronized Fall Classic next weekend. Complete results will be available following competition on MiamiRedHawks.com.
