LAFAYETTE, Ind.--Battling a Purdue University women's tennis team that ranks No. 40 nationally and features two player ranked among the nation's top 60, Miami University fell for the second time this season, dropping a 6-1 decision at the Lafayette Sports Center Saturday night. Both of Miami's (2-2; 0-0 MAC) losses this season have come against teams ranked in the nation's top 40.
The RedHawks lone point came at No. 6 singles, where senior Remy Swain downed Purdue's Brittany Minna in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Miami clashes with the Big Ten again next Saturday when it hosts Michigan State at Riverside Racquet Club in Hamilton, Ohio. Doubles play is tentatively scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
