Tennis Drops Tough Matches To Marshall And Louisville

OXFORD, Ohio - The women's tennis team had a bit of a rough weekend as it dropped two matches to Marshall, 7-0, on Friday and at Louisville, 5-2, on Saturday evening. The two setbacks drops the Red and White's record to 8-9 overall on the season and 1-2 in Mid-American Conference action.
Winning Miami's lone two points over the weekend against Louisville were freshman Linda Jirouskova and senior Megan Zimpfer. Jirouskova won her No. 2 single's match, 6-3 and 6-1, over UL's Paige Eber, while Zimpfer needed three sets to take down UL's Kelly Taylor, 6-1, 4-6 and 6-2.
The RedHawks take to the courts next when they play on the road at two MAC schools this weekend, April 2-3. Miami plays at Akron on Friday and then makes the trip to Buffalo for a Saturday match.
