OXFORD, Ohio -- Slots are still available for the 2011 Miami Women's Tennis Summer Camp, to be held on campus July 24-27 and July 31-August 1. The camps are designed to teach skills and give each camper a training method for achieving short, intermediate and long-term goals.
The RedHawk Tennis Camp will focus on four elements of the game:
- Stroke Production
- Match Play Strategy
- Mental Toughness Training
- Strength & Conditioning
- Match Simulation Drills
The camps both run Monday to Thursday, July 24-27 and July 31-August 3 at the Hepburn Courts on campus. Boys and girls ages 8 to 18 are eligible to participate with a cost of $425 for resident campers and $360 for commuters. Overnight campers will be housed in Miami University dorms with meals provided by Miami University dining halls.
Parents can be assured that all campers will be supervised 24 hours a day. All meals will be nutritional and monitored by staff. A certified athletic trainer will be on call to care for minor injuries and attend to all athletic training needs.
Also included in the cost of camp is access to the Oxford City Pool which, as a group, we will visit on at least one day.
